Kim's Training
I am a mom to 5 kids and a wife of 25 years to my high school sweetheart. I believe events in pregnancy, birth, and postpartum affect us for a lifetime. This belief resulted in my pursuit of the ministry of midwifery.
In 2016 I began diving deep into midwifery studies at Midwives College of Utah, a MEAC standard and nationally accredited school. I completed a range of studies preparing me for various pregnancy and birth scenarios (e.g. nutritional coaching, as well as special circumstances such as supporting those who have experienced abuse trauma and pregnancy loss ). During this time I also gained hands on experience through various clinical rotations, studying under both Certified Professional Midwives (CPM) and Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM) who work in home and birth center settings. Upon completing my clinical rotations and degree program, I passed the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM) board testing which is a certification exam that validates comprehension, education and applied skill levels for well woman care, conception, pregnancy, birth & postpartum.

After completing my degree, I started a small homebirth practice and also serve occasionally with other midwives as a part of their care team.
As they say...
"It Takes A Village"
I STRONGLY believe that the best care comes when clients are being supported by a community. Because of this I choose to network with other providers, offering all of our talents and giving our clients the best possible outcomes.
